Rian Morgan is a 20-year-old bassoonist from the greater Seattle area. She is a Sophomore studying music at the University of Washington studying under Paul Rafanelli of the Seattle Symphony. She has studied with Sara Savala and Francine Peterson in the years prior. In high school, she has participated in the Seattle Youth Symphony, Orchestra of Flight, NAACP ACT-SO, WMEA All-State, and has won her category in the WA state solo and ensemble competition. Rian currently plays in the UW Wind Ensemble as principal bassoon, and regularly performs with the Viridian Winds quintet.
