Michelle Gordon

Director, Rock Band, Songwriting Summer Camps

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michelle has been surrounded by musical inspiration her whole life. She began songwriting at the age of 3, which became her main outlet for creativity. When she was in 2nd grade, Michelle began taking violin lessons, which sparked her interest in learning other instruments.

Michelle attended Louis Armstrong Middle School in Sherman Oaks, California, a performing arts school where she expanded her music education with courses such as musical theater and choir.

In High School, Michelle won the talent show two years in a row with her singing and acoustic guitar performances. Originally self taught on guitar and bass, until she attended the Paramount Academy of Music in Studio City, California. This opportunity allowed her to venture into live performing with other students throughout Hollywood, while also furthering her skills in songwriting and music production through Paramount’s various summer camps.

In 2019, her band Sonorous made a name for themselves on the Sunset Strip, regularly playing established venues such as The Whiskey a Go-Go, The Viper Room, The Hotel Cafe, and more. This led to collaborating with Jung Records, who released a live session of their single, "Above The Fray."

Currently, Michelle is working on her debut EP with the members of renowned Australian band Atlas Genius.

Michelle is excited to teach alongside Pat Rector in the Music Works Budding Songwriters and Rock-and-Roll Band Camps this Summer.
