Bassoon

​

Julian is a bassoonist based in Seattle, Washington. He regularly performs with the Seattle Wind Symphony, Philharmonia Northwest, the Seattle Festival Orchestra, and the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra, among other ensembles in the greater Seattle area. He is a founding member and bassoonist of the Ponente Wind Quintet. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Julian was awarded the Mary Baker Russell music scholarship, an award given to four incoming students each year in recognition of their musical achievement. He studied bassoon under Francine Peterson through the completion of his degree at PLU, and now continues his studies with Paul Rafanelli.
