Dan O’Brien is a bassist with 50+ years of professional experience. He studied with Nancy Griffen of the Seattle Symphony and the legendary Jazz Bassist Gary Peacock in the 1970s. In 1980 Dan attended the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and was one of the premier bassists of the New England scene. There he studied with bass virtuoso Miroslav Vitous. Dan has played all over the world in Europe and Asia, and most of north America. He has been teaching a wide style of music for over 40 years. In the 20 years he spent on the East Coast (Boston and New York City), he played classical, Jazz, country western, rock, blues and funk with many of the best musicians of our time. He enjoys playing and teaching a wide range on music, and thinks that it all can be fun.
