Bridget Long is an active oboe performer and educator. She appears frequently with a variety of regional orchestras, including the North Corner Chamber Orchestra, Lake Washington Symphony, Federal Way Symphony, and Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra.
Bridget holds a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from the UW School of Music, where she studied with Mary Lynch. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance at the Boston Conservatory in the studio Amanda Hardy, and studied reedmaking with John Ferrillo.
She is originally from Olympia, WA. She started studying piano at the age of 4, and continued to expand her musical education when she decided to play oboe in middle school. Bridget finds joy empowering her students through the balanced development of technique and artistic expression.
